CURRENT FUNDRAISER - justgiving/dancechangeslives
There are a number of ways you can help support us. As a registered charity, we are very careful to ensure that all donations are allocated responsibly by our Trustees and in line with our charitable objectives as laid out in our constitution:
“For the public benefit the advancement of the performance arts and the relief of need through the presentation of artistic performances and arts participation workshops in the UK and Internationally and to deliver such workshops and related activities with a Christian ethos.”
The main areas we are currently in great need of support:
Collecting and shipping items of dance wear to organisations abroad to aid children’s dance and creative education and opportunities.
Financial support to dance organisations abroad who provide these dance opportunities - paying for children’s lunches on days they are dancing.
Funding for our 2020-2021 Lockdown choreography project to tour in UK schools and theatres, allowing people to engage with their experiences of isolation during the Covid-19 Global Pandemic.
Ways to support:
Give a one-off donation to the charity
Donate to our current JustGiving page appeal
Organise your own fundraising event
Sponsor a dancer by giving monthly towards the costs of dance wear and food
Thinking about organising your own fundraising event?
Here are some ideas to get the ball rolling:
Hold a sponsored “Danceathon” at your school or dance school
Have a “Non-uniform day” at your school or dance school
Challenge your friends to a “Dance-off” event
Hold a fundraising performance or show
Whatever event you are planning, let us know!
With your support, this group of dancers in Uganda, East Africa has grown from 6 girls (Jan 2021) to 46 girls and boys (Apr 2021)! Continue to support their creative journeys by helping us ship dance wear to them and ensuring there are funds to give each of the children lunch on their dance day.
